Get them kiddos movin'

STAR testing starts tomorrow which means most of my classrooms will be either going on field trips or be asked to stay quiet while gen ed tests. So... I thought that we should get those kiddos up and moving and using their bodies. I used this intervention with higher functioning elementary classes and it can be easily adapted for the kids on the low functioning levels.

Just cut and laminate and put into anything you have in your trunk for the kids to pull from - hat, cup, bowl..... ENJOY!

Ms. R's tips for connecting to your kids-

#1

FInd what interests your students and use that to your advantage!

#2

Give breaks! No point in everyone suffering when your student can reboot and become productive again after a break.

#3

Get on their level! If the student learns better when walking around the room, then WALK! Don't make a child conform to a standard that inhibits their learning.
