Pull out those boots! It's time for the RODEO!

Well if you're from Houston you know how exciting March is for our city. The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo started 3 days ago and I've already been twice! I love getting to incorporate the city's events into any session I can. I must say, I'm probably not the only one who enjoys these activities. ;)

"Dressing the Cowboy" is a fun activity for my younger kiddos who are working on colors, clothing articles, body parts, following one step directions etc. Please excuse the worn look of my folder (it's seen better days). Hope you enjoy!

Keep in mind, not all of the items I post are originals and I cannot take full responsibility for them. This is just a place that I can compile all of the activities I have used in the past and will use in the future.

Ms. R's tips for connecting to your kids-

#1

FInd what interests your students and use that to your advantage!

#2

Give breaks! No point in everyone suffering when your student can reboot and become productive again after a break.

#3

Get on their level! If the student learns better when walking around the room, then WALK! Don't make a child conform to a standard that inhibits their learning.
